This has an effect on the lips that increases the redness of the upper lip and gives it a more sensual appearance. It is interesting that this developed technique allows us to increase the volume of the lip WITHOUT TOUCHING the lip. There are no external incisions with this technique and the post-operative recovery period is the same as for rhinoplasty. As no foreign material is injected into the organism (such as implants and injections), there is no risk of rejection and its effect is permanent, unlike many products on the market that are being used to increase the lips.
Definition of the 'cupid arc' is the high point in using this technique, since it is not possible to attain this definition using injectable implants. Increasing the upper lip is a predominantly female requirement. However, there is almost unanimous agreement that the after-effects of rhinoplasty that generate a narrowing of the red part of the lip and increase the distance between the nose and the lip are undesirable.
